    • I took a ton of shots, but this one appealed to me the most. You know, I’m not always the most patient person, but since I’ve started taking more pictures, I’ve learned to embrace that virtue. I know you have it because your photos show it so well!

  1. Your photos are gorgeous. I have three butterfly bushes blooming this year (all new additions to the garden last summer). I’ve only seen one Monarch so far but we have quite a few Black, Tiger, and Spicebush swallowtails as well as a number of smaller species in a variety of colours. I’m hoping to (eventually) have an entire garden devoted to plants that attract bees and butterflies!

    • Thanks so much, Margo! Sounds like you will have a wonderful sanctuary eventually for the butterflies! You will love it. We just have the one bush but I am amazed at the busyness on it between both butterflies (and we have a number of smaller ones and even some moth-like things that look like bees and bumble bees. It’s fun to watch!
