I would rather

The calendar tells me it’s officially Spring. You know, the season where the days get warmer, the grass greens up, the trees start to bud, and flowers burst forth in a profusion of color.

It’s the season of renewal and I do find it renews my spirit and mood as well, particularly after a long winter season.

So Spring is here, but it’s not here. The view outside my window tells me differently. And even though it’s only 10 days until April comes, Winter still has us in its grips, at least here in my neck of the woods.

So on this 24th day of March, I would rather see this:

than this:

But the latter is what’s outside my window. Spring will come….eventually, I hope.

  1. Lovely photos, if a bit discouraging. Here in southern Ontario our snow is gradually melting (although they’re threatening us with more on April 3rd), there are buds on the trees, and yesterday I saw a (single) robin, so spring is definitely on its way. I just wish it would take the express train instead of the ‘slow and steady’ one.

  2. We were blessed with the same on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our area received 11.5 inches and we are the gateway to the south! It is beautiful and if you do not have to leave your home for anything, enjoyable to view. Think it will be gone by Friday. Sure hope it will not destroy all the buds that were just about to burst forth.

So...what do you think? Tell me. I appreciate your feedback and read each comment. Thank you!
