  1. A lovely fall photo. I tried growing pumpkins this year and had great success with vines and flowers but only ONE ‘female’ was fertilized and became a (smallish) pumpkin. It has pride of place on my kitchen table! I guess I’m not much of a pumpkin farmer!

    • At least you got one! 🙂 We were going to plant some this year, but actually, we didn’t even get a vegetable garden planted. Maybe next year. Our church pastor had a bumper crop which he shared with the children of our church. Our little one loved it! And then we took this trip to a pumpkin patch at a nearby farm and got more.

      • Last yer my granddaughter ‘adopted’ several pumpkins (in varying sizes). She wouldn’t let her Dad carve any of them up and after Hallowe’en, she didn’t want to get rid of them. They finally ‘convinced’ her to feed them to some pigs at a local farm. I wonder what she’ll think of it all this year? (So far she’s changed her mind at least a half dozen times about what costume she wants to wear on the 31st, too!)

So...what do you think? Tell me. I appreciate your feedback and read each comment. Thank you!
